The Valley

The Valley

The valley is long – 25 km – with a number of tributary valleys: the Onde valley in Vallouise, the Eychauda  hanging valley in Pelvoux, and finally the Celse Nière valley in Ailefroide. The Pré de Madame Carle, at 1874 m in altitude, marks the limit of the route where two possibilities are on offer, towards the Glacier Noir or the Glacier Blanc.

Everything the mountains has to offer is here: mountaineering, hiking, rock-climbing, paragliding, whitewater sports, etc. All mountain activities are available, as well as fishing, a swimming pool (in the summer), archery, tennis and minigolf; a ski-lift is open in the summer.
